Fair Haven Center for Women is thrilled to announce that we're growing our Beacon of Hope team!  We're accepting resumes through Friday, October 9, 2015 for a full-time Victim Advocate.  If you are interested in a job description or to submit your resume/cover letter please contact Amee at

If you are a recent victim of sexual assault please call our

Lake County, IN 24 Hour Rape Crisis Line -

(219) 218-2552

Each call is completely confidential and

all Beacon of Hope services are free of charge!

We are here to help.

The Rape Victim Advocates currently work with 7 Lake County Hospitals. Our medical advocacy services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at the Emergency Rooms of one of these 7 hospitals. When a sexual assault survivor arrives at one of our contracted hospitals, the hospital pages an advocate to assist this survivor while he or she is in the ER. The advocate provides emotional support, medical and legal information, referrals and initial follow-up services to survivors and their significant others. If the survivor requests additional follow-up services, a staff advocate can provide more long-term medical and legal advocacy.

Additionally, our Rape Victim Advocates work with all of Lake County's Police Departments.  The advocate provides emotional support to a victim and his/her support team during any police interviews.
