Vanelly Hill is our Peer Advocate. Her responsibilities include assisting the Youth Services Coordinator with facilitating the support groups for adolescents as well as meeting individually with clients. Vanelly brings a wealth of knowledge for helping with this age group, including previous employment at a youth crisis center and the Department of Child Services. Vanelly has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University Northwest. She has received training through the Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) and has completed Sexual Assault/Advocacy Counselor Training (SAACT).
Vanelly is a survivor of child sexual abuse as well as date rape. She specializes in helping adolescents and women heal from their abuse issues. She as a desire to set the captives free. She uses her past experiences to reach out and empower the broken-hearted. Since 2013, Vanelly has passionately advocated for human sex trafficking victims through participation on missions trips to Managua, Nicaragua. She has seen first-hand the devastation of what human trafficking and sex abuse can do to an individual and their families.
Vanelly loves being with her family, singing, and making silly music videos. She also enjoys reading books, drinking coffee and watching movies.
