Allison Looney was born in Ipswich, England and moved to the states as a young child. She was raised in Northwest Indiana and graduated from Morton Senior High School located in Hammond. Allison continued her education at Purdue University Calumet.


Allison has certifications in AACC Biblical Lay Counseling, Sexual Assault Advocacy, Suicide Assessment, Youth leadership and Peer mentoring. Allison has finished Level 1 Training for Splankna Therapy and is continuing her 30 hours of practice and education with Splankna Therapy Institute.

 

Allison has a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior and believes that her faith has brought her through the journey of recovery and continues to stretch her in the seasons of life. Allison has a passion about reaching the youth and has been a part of youth ministry for more than fifteen years.


Allison began her own recovery at age 18 and has had the pleasure of working at Fair Haven since 2007. She has had the honor to be a part of the many different programs throughout the years and is passionate about this ministry.


Allison is currently working in the Continuing Services department as a Peer Advocate. She believes by sharing her hope, strength, and healing along with letting others know with hard work, self-care, faith, perseverance, and a relationship with Jesus Christ there is hope and healing.
Allison loves her church, has a passion for reaching the youth and has been a part of the youth ministry for more than fifteen years. Allison believes that self-care is essential in her own recovery. She strives to nurture herself spiritually, mentally, and physically. Allison enjoys pampering herself and is committed to CrossFit.


Allison has been married to her high school sweetheart, Scott, since in 1991.  She feels blessed & thankful by his support in her recovery & throughout this journey of life.  Together, they have raised two wonderful children, Brandon and Sarah.
